Thanks to the efforts of Maureen Forrester
and Alan Pascoe we have a booking for an area known as The Barn at The Crown Playhatch. The venue is about 3
miles from Reading Station and there is an Arriva bus (#800) that
runs every hour and takes about 15 - 20 minutes as well as plenty of
taxis. We will meet informally on Friday
evening at the venue and then go to the reunion Saturday afternoon until evening.
The Crown has provided us with a
limited menu for a fixed price of £29 for 2 courses or
£35 for 3 courses. I think the menu looks really good.
If you consider we were looking at £25 a couple of years ago this is
a good rate. And if we get 30 people signed up the room is given to
us free. This is a copy of the
menu. We will be asking you to pay to confirm your attendance
and Alan is busy setting up a way to do that.
We need to confirm that we can expect
30 guests so we are asking you to submit this form with your
information. In the first survey we recorded 28 positive responses
and 6 probables. Please do this as soon as possible so that we can
confirm the booking. We
will list the names of confirmed attendees on his website regularly.
